It's been a busy couple of weeks in the big city, we've had half a million visitors, almost six years worth of shows and £75M for the economy (OK, the facts are running thin). For the first time since moving here I've tried to embrace the festival as much as my salary and record collecting habit would allow, seeing seven shows in total. My festival kicked off with Tim Minchin (Perrier best newcomer 2005) and free tickets for his opening night of his musical comedy show 'So Rock' at the Gilded Balloon. Big star Bill Bailey provided a few chuckles in his show 'Steampunk' at the EICC. Demetri Martin was our first show at the truly insane Udderbelly (above) and Reginald D. Hunter, at the same venue gave us our last laughs of the festival. Editors at the Corn Exchange and Snow...
