My recent improvement in mood has resulted in an optimistic view of the possibilities of using the internet to make money. I’ve been here before. This is a scenario that comes and goes with me. When I’m down I’m all whingy and full of principles and think it’s immoral for me to try and benefit financially from my tales of woe and other folks benevolence. At these times I usually pull all ads and gimmicks off my websites and revert to the bare bones of the textual content. Similarly I’ve so far resisted the urge to put a PayPal donate button on any of my pages lest some poor sod in a hypomanic state throws all their money at me and is later mortified. image Trawling through my news feeds this morning, a nuumber of people mentioned the release of Yojimbo from Bare Bones Software. I’ve had it on my kGTD todo list for a while to evaluate Devonthink Pro as a general reference system for my GTD mind-like-alcohol (just like Dave Allen’s Mind Like Water, only confuses people and is potentially dangerous!) workflow. Only I’ve never gotten around to doing it. And BB claims that this one is so simple to use, that it’s fully integrated with Tiger technologies. It looks pretty enough. I do particularly like the Drop Dock, for dragging random useful things to (although I wish in could be positioned on the bottom of the screen, either side of the dock, since that’s effectively dead space for me).
